On Wednesday, the up-and-coming Los Angeles artist duo known as Calabasas released their latest single “Beaujolais.” This electrifying new single features a distinguishable fusion between pop and rap that’s executed perfectly. Serving as the duo’s fifth single release, “Beaujolais” is a truly unique addition to Calabasas’ discography.
Calabasas is a duo between vocalist/writer Watrcup and producer/engineer Franskiiz. Watrcup is an LA-born artist that is as versatile in a duo as he is on his own. In addition to a successful career as a solo artist, he is truly carving Calabasas’ vocal sound. A random meeting back in 2018 sparked the creative revolution that has led up to the release of “Beaujolais.”
Franskiiz is a multitalented artist hailing from Hawaii who grew up learning and playing multiple instruments. His musical gift brings Calabasas’ sound to life with a unique blend between pop and rap. With Franskiiz’s hard-hitting production and Watrcup’s vocal ability, the duo will definitely make an impact.
Coming off of their latest single “Believe In Me,” “Beaujolais” is a catchy track that will definitely catch the listener’s ears. Above all, Calabasas’ versatility in their music and as artists will keep fans on their toes for what the duo may drop next.
