Upgrade Your Drip: Three Seattle Fashion Boutiques

Everybody loves to shop. Streetwear is everywhere these days, and Seattle is no exception. If you’re new to the area or just looking to check out some spots you may not know about, these three local Seattle fashion boutiques can upgrade your wardrobe. We’ll be focusing on a legendary skate shop, a premium thrift store, and a vintage seller with gems on the rack.

35TH NORTH (Capital Hill)

35TH NORTH STOCK IMAGE

Originally opening in the U-District back in 2001, it shares a name with the original shop in Federal Way. 17 years later, 35TH NORTH has built and sustained a reputation.

Not only does it offer everything a skater can ask for, but the store also happens to be one of two skate shops in the state that received orange label releases from NIKE SB. With the hype and demand for hard to get releases from shoes 35TH NORTH takes the cake for supplying the city with skating gear, clothes, and hype releases from skate brands.

The staff is friendly and helpful, they answer all questions and make you feel welcome. The one thing I can say I love the most is they don’t hound you to buy the product. You want to come to buy a new deck or some new shoes? They got you. You want to window shop and just see what’s in the store? They don’t mind.

Every month they feature skaters or people working in the skating community. Stop by and ask about some local spots you can check out, they got you. Make sure you head to Pike in Cap Hill and check out 35TH NORTH ASAP!

LUCKYDOG (U-District)

Remember when thrifting was at an all-time high and everyone seemed to be hitting Goodwill stores in search of some dope finds? Welcome to LUCKYDOG, this is your one-stop-shop for new and used hyped gear.

LUCKYDOG has been around for a little over 7 years now, originally the owners made money in college selling vintage clothes on eBay. Now they run two locations in Seattle focused on being a premium thrift shop.

Upon entering it’s hard not to feel a sense of welcome, everyone is upbeat and willing to help out with anything. I’ve personally sold shoes here and I left satisfied for sure. All types of shoes from YEEZYS to Jordans cover the walls.

Head to the back of the store and you’ll find some of their higher-priced items in cases, a basketball hoop, and more clothing. If you’re looking for a decent price on brands like Supreme, Off-White, Bape, or even designer brands like Louis Vuitton or Gucci. Check out LUCKYDOG! Say hi to Squish!

BEYOND.CURED

This is a curveball selection. Beyond.Cured is a store established this year and focuses only on vintage shirts. Ran by one man, Brandon. He operates strictly online and ships to anyone and anywhere. He is Washington based though.

There has been a high demand over the years for vintage gear. From promotional shirts, limited runs, or just plain dope old ass prints from the ’80s or even the ’70s. This is the spot to check out.

I’ve purchased multiple things from Beyond.Cured and no matter the age, the shirt feels amazing. Hit Brandon up on Instagram or check out the online shop he frequently posts to!
