Local Rapper Raises $50k In Two Days To Combat Daughter’s Cancer

Onry Ozzborn made Seattle his home well over a decade ago and put the city on the map for masterminding alternative hip-hop acts such as Oldominion and Grayskul. The notable Fake Four Inc. emcee recently found out that his 10-year-old daughter has a Non-Lymphoblastic Non-Hodgkin’s form of cancer. Ozzborn’s immediate response was to set-up a GoFundMe for his daughter, Violet Ofelia Martinez.

In the campaign’s description Ozzborn gave details on his daughter’s situation and plan for treatment. They’ll begin treatment for her on the 22nd of February. It’ll be lasting around four to five months depending on the way Violet handles it all. Onry highlights that they’ll be “taking a holistic approach on some things as well.” He goes on to say that “she WILL without a single doubt defeat this coward of a disease but her road to recovery will be a tedious one at times.”

Onry even put together a song with DARK TIME SUNSHINE cohort Zavala that features Violet’s favorite singer Reva Devito. The song is called “V Girl” and is dedicated to his daughter and meant to exist alongside the campaign to promote it. Within two days of starting the campaign they’ve already made it over the $50k mark! Head over to the GoFundMe page now to donate and be sure to bump the song below.
