Kung Foo Grip is a veritable staple of the local hip-hop scene in Seattle and has been for years. The captivating energy the group emulates on stage only meets its match in their hard-hitting production. Their most recent album “2KFG” that came out in February 2018 features Keyboard Kid on production and slaps harder than your ex.
Greg Cypher and Eff is H are the mastermind emcees behind Kung Foo Grip. The two have been putting out music under the KFG moniker since 2013. Since then they’ve shared stages with some enormous names in music. The group has opened for Macklemore’s Gemini Tour, Flatbush Zombies, GZA, Das Racist, Talib Kweli, and Run The Jewels just to name a few. Catch their full performance on KEXP from back in March of 2018 below.
Since rocking stages around the city for the past several years, KFG fondly retold memories to RMR of The Crocodile. Greg and Eff said they couldn’t be happier to finally headline the venue for RMR’s 2nd annual Seattle World Tour. After years of playing in support of other talent at the venue they’ve developed a serious soft spot for the place.
Be sure to snag your tickets to see them perform all their hot new material alongside local talents Chris King & The Gutterballs, Marshall Law Band, and All Star Opera. Bring hand-me-downs for donation if possible if you want to support the clothing drive going on during each event for Mary’s Place!
