After nearly six months of not dropping any music, Derin Falana is back with a new track titled “End Of Summer Freestyle.” Throughout 2017, he was highly prolific with releasing a large number of tracks. This includes his album These Days: Audio Journal and the singles released after it.
With the release of “End Of Summer Freestyle”, it’s evident that Falana has many thoughts to share. Throughout the track, his verses are quite fragmented from start to finish. His overall flow and delivery is based around the message, rather than deeply diving in to a particular verse. As a result, it helps the listener hone in on his thoughts and various topics throughout the track.
Produced by Mumbles, Andy Crae, and GHD, the instrumental is lead by a vocal sample that is backed by a hard snare and prominent hi-hats. The mid tempo beat also allows Falana to have complete creativity and flexibility with his verses. The beat change on the second part of the song also adds an interesting sonic twist. With multiple tempos shown, it adds greater depth to the overall track. Check it out below!
