Virginia based artist Ben DeLaurentis just released his latest project, a folk LP titled Liar for a Muse. In this album, Ben blends folk, acoustic and indie together while expressing his innermost feelings and emotions through his music.
A solo project for Ben, he played almost all of the instruments recorded and did all of the mixing himself in his own home studio. Viewed as a “very personal album” for the artist. It was his first time taking on an entire project on his own. My favorite thing about this album is the honesty and purity that you can hear in it as a solo project and one that he obviously slaved over as an artist. Overall, he has a special talent for leaving his message ingrained through the music.
He recently had quite a successful solo cross-country tour, and several prior U.S. tours opening for Marbin, a popular jazz fusion band. His style is similar to David Ramirez, Delta Spirit, Jason Isbell, Dr. Dog, and Ed Sheeran. Listen to the full album below and let us know what you think!
