Tranquil Forest is a cannabis producer operating out of Spokane and the Monkey Glue strain was personally recommended to me by the owner, Hung Pham, at Kush Marketplace last week. Tranquil Forest’s Monkey Glue is a tree-climbing, vine-swinging sativa-leaning phenotype of a GG strain. GG has a reputation as a powerful indica-hybrid strain, but the Monkey Glue strain has notable sativa qualities.
This gram of Monkey Glue definitely had the GG aromas and look. Fluffy flowers with tiny details of purple that have herbal, pine and earthy aromas, it just has that memorable GG funky smell. After breaking down the gram on my coffee table, there were subtle hints of sweet chocolate and coffee on my fingers.
After burning through three bong bowls, it was apparent to me that my focus and mood were boosted, and the mental clarity was followed by introspective vibes. This strain doesn’t look special, but the effects surprised me. GG strains are never my favorite but Monkey Glue’s memorable sativa-hybrid effects would make me climb a tree to smoke this strain again.
