Saturday, May 26th, Port Orchard native JAGA will be taking the stage at Barboza on Capitol Hill to celebrate the release of his first album, .Wavpool. In addition to performing the tape in its entirety, he will be busting out some new cuts to kick summer off right. Fellow MC Campana will be making a few cameos as well. The evening will be hosted by the homies at TownTV.
Cop your tickets, here. RSVP to the event on Facebook here.
JAGA is doing three things right now that you don’t see very often in the local scene… Intricate and original flow, beats produced by himself, and the ability to sing a catchy and melodic hook? Damn, son. When JAGA dropped the album it took less than a month for him to lock in a headlining show at Barboza.
Homeboy literally takes you into his “wave pool.” You float around with everything he’s seen and been through that’s lead him to find musical purpose and vision. He reflects on what it’s like to live the life of a starving artist and to be a creature of the night.
He takes you into a world completely his own with each track. This is the kind of music where you find something you didn’t notice last time you listened. Replay value on fucking swole, fam.
.Wavpool is well-worth listening to if you want vibes. Vibes all the way from the rainiest, darkest day in Seattle, to the sunniest, most chill day, ripping blunts at Golden Gardens with the squad.
Truly making moves in the shadows, JAGA’s release at Barboza this Saturday is an experience you want to shed light on. Because this kid is gonna blow up.
Have a gander at the music video he put out recently for one of the cuts from the tape titled,”Sick.”
