“Bum stiggedy bum stiggedy bum, hon.” It’s not too often a group can say that they brought something truly original and influential to hip-hop music as late as the 90’s like Das EFX can. Rapidfire style, imaginative lyricism and word association coupled with a stream-of-consciousness rant, rich in pop culture references.
It was a completely original rhyme style in 1992 when Das EFX dropped, Dead Serious. The album went platinum and it’s lead single, ‘They want EFX’ reached the top ten on Billboard’s R&B chart.
