It’s my day off and I’m lying in bed checking up on social media when I see a post I’ve been waiting months to see. Parisalexa announcing the release of her new EP Bloom.
Produced by Antero and DJ Umoore, then mixed by Elan Wright, Paris and friends have managed to make spring come early. This seven-track bouquet is ready to brighten up every gloomy grey day.

I can’t shake the chills as I’m running it back to the start of the EP for my third listen through. The voice of this 19-year-old singer gives me life. Paris creates songs with the experience and talent of a much older soul. I’m starting to feel like 2018 will be the year R&B moves to the forefront of the industry.
My favorite track has to be “Gardens” with the only featured artist on the project, MistaDC. The moment that bass starts kicking down the beat I got lost. Then Parisalexa comes in with her bouncy verse saying that “I’m so at ease, I’m trying to spread this feeling from the floor to ceiling like disease.”
