Triple Crown is a grower and processor on the Humptulips River outside of Hoquiam, Washington. In places where logging once was the main job for people, it appears that cannabis is taking over. Star Trek is the first thing that I think of when I see the word Romulan. This Indica dominant hybrid strain has always fascinated me. It could be describes as an almost cerebral Sativa high with all of the benefits of an Indica. When medical was the only type of weed available, it was always on my list.
Even when you purchase a single gram, Romulan comes in a solid glass jar. To prevent light from getting in the Triple Crown label and THC content sticker cover most of the jar. This helps keep the weed fresh while it sits on a shelf at the store. Opening the jar released a potent earthy smell that greeted my nose. The nugs were spikey with dense clusters of orange hairs covering the buds. When I cracked one open to smell it, both nugs stayed together without any pieces of weed falling off. I could tell that they were well cared for throughout the growing and curing process.
Each puff of this strain was awesome. The flavor and smooth smoke never changed. A cerebral feeling overtook my head and I felt myself sinking into my couch. My focus drifted from activities quickly. The high was very enjoyable. My body felt relaxed, but it wasn’t an overbearing high. This strain could easily be enjoyed by any smoker without having to worry about an overwhelming feeling of anxiety.
