We should probably all accept the fact that we probably went a little too hard the weekend before Halloween. Whether you were at Freaknight or bar hopping in either Ballard or Capitol Hill, you are potentially still feeling the impact of a wild weekend as you begin the fourth day of the work week.
Hang Roots has managed to grow a perfect way to recover from having a bit to much fun with their 9 Pound Hammer. A cross of Jack the Ripper, Hell’s Angel, and Gooberry, this strain packs a potent couch locking punch that will have you extremely relaxed.

This might be one of the darker green strains that I’ve seen in some time. The nugs are light and fluffy, giving you the impression that there is more weed in the jar or your hand than what you paid for. While there aren’t a ton of visible trichomes, there are some very dark orange hairs covering the buds. I cracked one open and my nose was instantly greeted by a sweet earthy smell with hints of berry among the captivating aroma.
Even as the buds sat on my table waiting to be ground up and rolled the smell still permeated my living room. I was anxiously awaiting grinding them down and the smell that they would release then. The taste was equally impressive, even though I smoked it through a Blueberry Swisher Sweet.
The earthy and sweet tastes mixed very well with the flavor of the Swisher. 9 Pound Hammer smoked exceptionally smooth and I found my entire body feeling lighter as I smoked my way through the blunt. After I finished I found myself lost in my own thoughts as I relaxed on my couch recovering from a very fun weekend. Immediately, the munchies kicked in and I’m glad that I did not have any Halloween candy stashed in my apartment because it would have been gone. Hang Roots impressed me from the start and I would highly recommend any of their products.
