Cimo Fränkel, born and raised in Amsterdam, started playing with music production when he was only fifteen. At an early age, his father, a funk musician, used to take Cimo with him to the studio and teach him about music. This sort of upbringing obviously had a considerable impact on Cimo’s successful career.
Now twenty-eight, this multi-talented hit producer/songwriter is an Armada music signed artist. He is well known for his co-written and produced track ‘Shotgun,’ with YELLOW CLAW, as well as going double platinum with ‘Mooie Dag‘ by Jayh Jawson. He’s also reached over 450 million Spotify plays after releasing his multi-platinum hit ‘Sex‘, performed by Cheat Codes & Kris Kros Amsterdam. Cimo’s success can be seen in his early support from Chill Nation, Earmilk, Edm Sauce, Discobelle, and plenty of others.

I like this song for its sharp beat, simple bass line and to-the-point lyrics that offer a hopeful message to the listener. I find it to be catchy and relatable, making Cimo’s passion and uplifting spirit hard to dislike. Let’s face it, even if you only listen to rap beats or head-bang to death metal, you’d probably still sing along to this song in the shower if you knew nobody would hear you…. But I didn’t do that.
