Canadian Cannabis Edibles: Brands, Formats, and Label Information

Edible cannabis has been sold legally in Canada since late 2019. The category now covers single gummies, multipacks, soft chews and products that combine THC with other cannabinoids such as CBD, CBG or CBN. Because Canadian rules on edibles differ from many U.S. markets, the numbers on a package can be confusing at first. This guide looks at four brands sold through provincial retailers, the formats they use, what their labels say, and how to approach dosing and onset.

How THC Amounts Work on Canadian Edibles

Under Health Canada’s packaging requirements, edible cannabis is limited to 10 mg of total THC per immediate container, including the potential conversion of THCA into THC.

Compliant multipacks can contain several immediate containers inside an outermost container. The combined THC amount may therefore exceed 10 mg, while each immediate container remains subject to the 10 mg limit. An individual wrapper does not automatically qualify as a separate immediate container.

When comparing products, distinguish the amount per piece from the amount per immediate container and the combined multipack total.

SOURZ by Spinach

Licensed producer: Peace Naturals Project Inc. (Cronos Group)

Selected Products: Fully Blasted Pink Lemonade multipack; Fully Blasted Strawberry Watermelon 1:1 CBG:THC gummy

The OCS lists the Pink Lemonade multipack as 10 gummies at 10mg THC each, 100mg per multipack, made with CO2-extracted cannabis. The Strawberry Watermelon gummy is a single piece containing 10mg THC and 10mg CBG. Cronos reported in July 2026 that Spinach held 20.8% of national edible retail dollar sales in May 2026, citing HiFyre Retail Analytics data. In September 2026, Cronos announced a Blue Raspberry Lemonade gummy made with live resin, launching first in Ontario.

Pearls by Grön

Selected Products: Blue Razzleberry 3:1 CBG:THC; Strawberry Melon 4:1 CBN:THC

Pearls are sugar-coated gummies. BC Cannabis Stores lists the Blue Razzleberry product at 2mg THC per piece with CBG and THC in a 3:1 ratio. The Strawberry Melon product contains five gummies with 10mg THC and 40mg CBN per package. Many Pearls products combine THC with minor cannabinoids, and the ratio is printed on the label.

Wyld

Licensed producer (per OCS listing): BZAM Management Inc.

Selected Products: Real Fruit Raspberry gummies

The OCS lists Real Fruit Raspberry as two gummies at 5mg THC each, 10mg per pack. Listed ingredients include raspberry juice concentrate, gelatin, sunflower lecithin and botanical terpenes (limonene, valencene, beta-caryophyllene, alpha-pinene and beta-pinene). Because the product contains gelatin, it is not suitable for vegans.

SHRED’EMS

Licensed producer: Organigram Inc.

Selected Products: Wild Berry Blaze; Shark Attack MAX10 Party Pack

OCS lists Wild Berry Blaze as four gummies, each with 2.5mg THC and 10mg CBD, for 10mg THC and 40mg CBD per pack. The Shark Attack MAX10 Party Pack contains 10 individually packaged 10mg gummies, 100mg THC per carton. SHRED’EMS gummies are described as pectin-based and made without animal products, though some listings note milk, soy and sulphites as allergens, so check the label.

Dosage and Onset

Health Canada advises starting with 2.5mg of THC or less. Effects from edibles may take up to two hours to begin and up to four hours to fully develop, so wait the full four hours before considering more.

Onset also varies from person to person. A guide to edible onset from BC Weed Edible outlines several factors that can change how quickly effects begin:

  • Food: a fatty meal beforehand can slow digestion and delay onset.
  • Format: products absorbed partly in the mouth, such as tinctures and hard candies, can act sooner than gummies or baked goods that pass through the digestive system.
  • The individual: metabolism, body weight and tolerance all play a role.

Because these factors are hard to predict, treat every new product as unknown: start low, note the time you took it, and store edibles securely away from children and pets.

Where to Buy

Legal edibles are sold only through retailers authorized by each province or territory. Legal products carry a provincial excise stamp and the standardized cannabis symbol. Health Canada’s list of authorized retailers by province is the best place to confirm a seller.

Product lineups change often. Check your provincial retailer’s current listing and the package label for up-to-date THC amounts, ingredients and allergens.
