Volumes Announces New Album Mirror Touch

Fifteen years deep, Volumes have seen it all—ups, downs, chaos, and everything in between. But through every shift, they’ve only grown sharper and more self-assured. Volumes have annpunced their upcoming album “Mirror Touch“. Their fans have stuck with them through it all, and now the wait pays off. The band just dropped their new single “S.O.A.P.” alongside a striking visualizer—watch it here.

The Los Angeles quartet — Michael Barr (vocals), Raad Soudani (bass), Myke Terry (vocals), and Nick Ursich (drums) — are back with big news, announcing their fifth studio album, Mirror Touch. The record drops digitally on December 12 via longtime label Fearless Records, with physical copies set to arrive February 27 of next year. Pre-orders can be found here.

Volumes have never sounded more in control of their chaos. “S.O.A.P.” hits like a steel storm—crunchy, industrial textures twisting around razor-edged riffs, trading screams and soaring hooks before dropping into a breakdown built to shake the floor. This marks the start of a new era for the band—one that’s heavier, sharper, and more self-assured than ever. If Meshuggah and Fear Factory ever collided inside a digital apocalypse, it might sound something like this.

“‘S.O.A.P..’ is about pure and impure indulgence,” the band explains. “Good versus evil. Playing with fire or magic — the lines are blurred here. We self-nurture habits that are deemed immoral, although who is the person making that decisions for us?”

About Volumes

Over a decade and a half, fifteen years deep, Volumes’ quiet impact has been undeniable, with over 167 million streams in the U.S. alone, widespread acclaim, and consistently sold-out shows. They’ve carved out their own corner of heavy music with a unique blend of head-crushing polyrhythmic prog-metal, hardcore intensity, and unbridled attitude. Across albums like Via (2011), No Sleep (2014), Different Animals (2017), and Happier? (2021), the band has continually leveled up, with KERRANG! Praising the latter as “an album that gives a nod to the band’s past while still bringing in new ideas.”

The Los Angeles group continues to fortify a full-on sensory assault with thick riffing, atmospheric soundscapes, and the dual vocals of Michael Barr and Myke Terry, creating a sound that’s instantly recognizable. On tour, they’ve shared stages with bands like Ice Nine Kills, Born of Osiris, Dance Gavin Dance, and Counterparts, delivering high-energy performances that leave audiences breathless. With every show, Volumes prove why they’ve earned a devoted following and a reputation for blending precision, power, and raw emotion into a live experience unlike any other.
