Bass Canyon’s seventh annual festival comes to the Gorge August 15-17. This year’s bill brings over 90 artists over three days, and the festival grounds are full of surprises, soaked in Columbia Basin sunshine and LED lights. Expect some of the biggest names in dance and bass music like Sullivan King, Liquid Stranger, ATLiens, Grabbitz, Must Die!, and so many more. One of this year’s headlining attractions is a 360-degree stage called “The Crater.” This stage turned heads at Lost Lands last year and is making its debut in the PNW in less than 50 days.
Excision’s Playground in the Columbia Basin
A bona fide first ballot hall of fame member of the bass music genre, Excision personally curates Bass Canyon’s lineup, which has become a playground of sorts for the Canadian-born bass pioneer. This year, he’s bringing three different flavors to the Gorge: his solo set, Detox set, and a highly anticipated debut B2B with ATLiens. What is a Detox set? Expect a much weirder sound and a more chill experience than the standard brain-melting wobbles you’re accustomed to.
Bass Canyon: Sunset & B2B Sets
Set themes like B2B (back-to-back) and Sunset give artists and fans different ways to enjoy their favorite artists and stages. The Gorge delivers some of the best sunsets in the entire world, and anything heard on the mainstage during the golden hour is sure to be burned into your central nervous system for the rest of time. This year, Adventure Club and SVDDEN DEATH will have Sunset Sets, while you can expect B2B sets from 7L and Pyke, Bommer and He$h, Dirtysnatcha and Subfiltronik, and Hamro and Squishi. Calcium and Samplifire will perform under their collaborative alias Bonefire, while Layz teams up with Jessica Audiffred, and Muerte with Stoned Leve.
The full rundown for tickets and camping passes is on the Bass Canyon website. There are maps of the festival and camping grounds, and be sure to check the FAQ section for a full list of items you can and cannot bring into the venue.
