X Games 2025, Salt Lake City, is officially wrapped, and what a weekend for action sports it was. Lots of athletes felt gold in their hands for the first time while other athletes continued their generational runs. And to top it all off, a 35-year-old Ryan Sheckler returned to X Games competition for the first time since 2017.
The women’s skateboarding events were my highlight of the weekend; the ladies showed up and showed out through each event. Chloe Covell took home gold at both skateboard street events, and Mizuho Hasegawa showed out in both skateboarding vert events.
Over on the men’s side, Gui Khury went off on his last best trick vert run, and Ryan Williams just shut the park down with his final run of the BMX dirt event. However, my favorite run of the weekend belongs to 15-year-old Julian Agliardi and his bronze medal run in Men’s Skateboard Street.
