DJ Sliink, “The Global Ambassador” of Jersey Club, has announced the release of his upcoming EP, Bricks To The 6. The culmination of his work will arrive on September 8th in the form of a 5 song EP. The project will feature the vocals of Bandmarill, Sha EK, and SAFE, a trio well accustomed to the sounds of “The Jersey Club King.”
Sliink hit the ground running this summer by lending a hand to the Jiggy In Jersey mixtape. He did this before the ink barely dried on his freshly signed contract with Warner Records. The tape highlights the Jersey Club sound by featuring a culmination of New Jersey-based artists and producers. After allowing that project the space to breathe, Sliink dialed back in on his own work.
Accompanying the announcement is the lead single, “In the Night,” along with a matching music video. This combination indicates that listeners can expect bars from and melodies to float on beats that will have a spot dancing.
When asked about how this song came to fruition, DJ Sliiink recalled, “In the Night is a collaboration between Jersey Club & Baltimore Club.”
He continued to explain, “I’ve always wanted to keep that connection open between the club community. It’s funny how things happen. One day I was scrolling down my timeline, and one of my fellow producers, Rip Knoxx, was working on an idea. At this point, I didn’t even reach out yet. I got the video link from Instagram and split all the sounds from the snippet. I made a whole record out of it in an hour. I then hit Rip up and said, ‘Yo bro, I need this. We gotta collab.’ It was up from there!”
If collaborating continues to sound this good, listeners should have September 8th marked on their calendars.
