Michael is a veteran in the cannabis and content space. He is the founder of WeedTravelFood and has worked with legacy operators and corporate cannabis companies alike on everything from license acquisition and product development to content creation and marketing strategy.
As a Chicago native and social equity applicant, Michael’s drive to promote excellence, black ownership and social equity in cannabis was recognized by longtime friends Bryant and Ryan before he joined CRONJA as an Equity Partner and later became the Chief Marketing Officer for the brand.
As both individuals are representatives of the legacy market, Anthony and Michael discuss the importance of preserving a seat at the table for those that have not only been in the industry but helped define what it looks like.
Mike has seen the communal impact the ‘War on Drugs’ has created and has set out on a path to fight for cannabis advocacy to help alleviate the stigma surrounding cannabis. He also teaches Cannabis Marketing & Branding for City Colleges of Chicago.
