It seems like every DJ is juggling, at least, two projects at once. Whyte Fang is a side project from Alison Wonderland where she is free to create and explore darker sounds beyond what she normally puts out. The secret warehouse show in New York for her label, FMU Records, sold out before the full lineup was even revealed.
There was a VIP meet and greet at 9PM where fans met her and got a preview of unreleased tracks from album. Whyte Fang even answered questions from fans including the genesis of the project and future plans. Even though the show was held at a small 500-capacity warehouse, the team had a full-scale production going. The stage setup itself is Whyte Fang’s signature, where she’s engulfed within an LED cube. Although she was hidden behind the semi-see through LED set up, she still stood out as she was glowing vibrantly from the UV clothing she wore from head to toe.
The Whyte Fang set was full of energy as she played both original tracks and remixes. The crowd energy was through the roof, and the warehouse was packed from the stage all the way to the door. The lineup included other artists from FMU Records, including Villa, Jon Casey B2B Dabow, and Sumthin Sumthin. Considering that Whyte Fang was only active again around mid-2021, it’s impressive that the New York show sold out so fast.
There’s so much potential with this project. The feedback on all the singles released so far have been incredibly positive.
The biggest secrets that night weren’t even the IDs that she played, but rather something even more personal. A couple days after the show ended, Alison Wonderland announced her pregnancy online. The news came as a huge surprise as her relationship has been extremely private. We’re excited and wish her the best with this new chapter. The baby’s about to be Coachella’s youngest performer.
