For over a decade now, Moneybagg Yo has been putting in the work to demand respect for his native region of Memphis, TN. With a deep catalog of mixtapes, EPs and studio records, the trap and drill Southerner has earned the credentials that have resulted in the hip-hop community investing in him. In turn, he has taken that leverage and used it to elevate other artists with a similar vision and background, and his leadership is beginning to pay off.
Bread Gang Entertainment was founded by Moneybagg Yo in 2015 and is just starting to pick up steam. With a fresh new round of draft picks, the label is beginning to pop off and we want to bring attention to it, so you don’t miss out on its most important years. With all-star assists from producers Yung Dee, Skywalker OG, DMacTooBangin and DrumGod, these five rappers are elevating this brand to unprecedented heights.
Rappers Currently Signed to Bread Gang
Finesse2tymes
Born and raised on the East Side of Memphis, Finesse2tymes spent a good portion of his younger days in and out of prison. Despite the constraints of this lifestyle, he kept honing his skills as a rapper and made it out the other side against all odds. Getting his start with a collective called Memphis Greatest Underrated at the age of 21, he has come a long way since and is now one of Bread Gang’s star prospects. His latest release, 90 Days Later, is a reflection of his tumultuous past.
BIG30
Ever since 2020, BIG30 has been turning heads. Having collaborated with stars such as Gucci Mane and Pooh Sheisty, his name has a great deal of credibility attached to it and he has taken full advantage of it. His 2021 debut mixtape, King of Killbranch, featured Future, Lil Durk and Offset, among others, and put him on the rising-stars radar. He has since generated millions of views and streams, and is now a cornerstone of Bread Gang.
YTB Fatt
Bread Gang’s latest draft pick, YTB Fatt, is hungry and it shows in his music. Inspired by the likes of Meek Mill and Yo Gotti, the rapper has finally clawed his way past the hardships of his youth and into the spotlight. His fan base is already dense, and with support from one of Memphis’s finest, he’s destined to succeed.
“Moneybagg is so locked in. Man get a $10 million check, and he still go in the studio,” he said. “I’m learning how to treat my family. How he do his people, that’s how I do my family. I scoop up everything. What I see from him, I do. Any mistake I make I figure it’s a lesson learned.”
Big Homiie G
Locked in and ready to go, Big Homiie G isn’t to be taken for granted. The guy spits effortlessly and with a laid-back attitude, offering a sleepy precision to a broad range of beats. It’s not surprising that Bread Gang put their money on him because he’s sure to bring in a whole lot more. With only two albums out so far, he’s only just getting started. Stay tuned!
Tripstar
South Memphis MC Tripstar has been active for almost a decade and has been making waves the entire time. Even though he spent three of those years in prison, he never gave up on his craft. Upon his release in 2020, he hit the ground running and released all the music he had been working on. Soon after, he crossed paths with Moneybagg Yo, who he knew from before, and is now working on putting out his first record through Bread Gang Entertainment.
