The Higher Women podcast is back with a second season in support of Respect My Region’s North American Weed Tour. Since the beginning of the podcast, the goal has been to amplify the voices of women working in the cannabis industry. We want to highlight and show that under the male-dominated surface, many women are making huge strides in the industry. At this moment, more women than ever are building successful businesses and working to break down decades-old stigmas.
In the first season, host Madi Forbes talked with a variety of different women. Her guests ranged from owners of cannabis retailers to edible makers, farmers, publicists, and journalists. For season two of the Higher Women podcast, Taylor Hart will be continuing to interview cannabis professionals across the country.

As a cannabis professional herself, Taylor has seen and dealt with the hardships of being a woman in the industry. Unfortunately, there is still an awful lot of prejudice and misogyny in the workplace. However, the tides are starting to turn. Our hope is that by showcasing the intelligence, creativity, and dedication that women have within the cannabis industry, these archaic business practices that continue to linger will dissipate quicker.
