Rain or shine, you can find the best island vibes in Tacoma on August 20-21st at the Reggae on the Way music festival. Don’t miss this year’s event! They’re taking over five city blocks and granting you access to great food, music performances, vibes, and more.
The Reggae on the Way festival started in 2017 at what was once the city of Tacoma’s premier entertainment district. At the event this August, you can see vibey reggae and island sound performances from several international artists. The Saturday lineup includes Kolohe Kai, Protoje, Hirie, and Josh Heinrichs. Then, on Sunday, you can see Iration, Atmosphere, Anuhea, and Katastro, with more artists to be announced soon.
Tickets
There are several options for tickets; if you are a parent, like to be VIP, are alone, or you go with all your friends there’s an option for you.
If you are a parent with a three-year-old or under, the child can come with you for free. For all other ages, attending either day one or two of the festival, will cost $80 including the service fee. Furthermore, if you buy a bundle of four tickets all at once, each ticket price is discounted to around $65 each. Additionally, attendees who don’t want to miss any of the action can buy a pass for both days for around $111.
Finally, for those 21+ festival pros who want the most exclusive and comfortable experience, get the EVERGREEN VIP. This pass comes with early access to the venue, the front of stage viewing area, and a slew of private facilities including a backstage bar and restrooms for both days. It gets even better; as a VIP you will get to take home a festival T-shirt, commemorative VIP laminate, and poster!
Additional Information
The event is located on 5406 S. Tacoma Way, right in front of Tacoma’s Airport Tavern. While the event is tailored for adults, it is still family friendly. Additionally, there is free off-street parking, but there will be some adjacent surrounding parking if you are willing to pay a fee.
