GoblinWalkerz Stretch The Limits Of Hip-Hop With Experimental Sounds On Their Track “Dead Homies”

Too many people now-a-days copy whatever they see or hear that’s popping; making it hard to find something that is both refreshing and fun to listen to. GoblinWalkerz, a duo made up of artists Skrapper and Yung TMR, look to bring new sounds and styles with their music. But they won’t let themselves be tied down to one specific genre or theme.

GoblinWalkerz makes what comes to them in the moment. They feed off of each other’s energy to find a rhythm in the studio. Whether it be a vibey cut like their track, “Ego Trip,” or more like, “Dead Homies,” a recent hyphy track that they dropped. They show promise and potential to tap into a much-needed niche in the local music scene.

Pour One Out With GoblinWalkerz

“Dead Homies” is off their latest EP under the same name. It has an anthemic energy to it that starts to amp you up right from the beginning. Boasting hard-hitting bass right off the bat that patters into a rhythmic loop of strings. Doing exactly what a good beat should do, it gets you hooked and interested in whether it’s all for nothing or if someone is about to deliver. We all love a good surprise and GoblinWalkerz is sure to surprise.

The track starts off with good energy and a good beat and is on pace to be a solid track. Where things change, and change quickly, is the 36 second mark. They use this high-pitched auto-tune to create a unique voice effect that makes for a catchy hook before going into their main bars.

It’s a small detail but playing with new voices and sounds is a sure-fire way to get people’s attention. Like when Kendrick Lamar came with that new voice on “Family Ties.” People love originality and it looks like GoblinWalkerz have some of that to offer.
