Chris Webby, Grieves, Locksmith, and Ekoh will be at Nectar Lounge on June 25th for the World Wide Web tour. This might be towards the end of their tour, but Grieves always brings it when he plays in Seattle. Chris Webby and Grieves dropped “Man Down” a few months ago while Grieves was releasing a string of singles rather than a full album. Their two styles could not be any more different, but the blend of East and West Coasts fits together perfectly.
Of the three artists on the tour, Locksmith is the least familiar to me. A few of his tracks like “Imperfect” really tug at the heartstrings. His lyrics don’t always cover mainstream topics, instead, focusing on opportunities for personal growth and difficulties from his youth.
All three of these artists bring a unique style to the tour. Grieves tends to create a party on stage while bringing intense energy each time he steps on the stage. Chris Webby drops witty and creative lyrics with every song and no one is safe when he has the mic. Ekoh blends hip-hop with EDM creating a unique sound intertwined with party lyrics to get the show started.
