Wiz Khalifa is going nowhere. Over the weekend, the Pittsburg rapper injured himself and even had to use walking sticks as a result, but he’s already well on his way to healing.
The 35-year-old MC has been sharing updates regarding his situation on social media, and his progress seems swift and steady so far. In just a day, he went from using crutches to walking all on his own, which gives fans hope that he’ll recover in time for his summer tour.
Check out Wiz’s Twitter posts about his current situation below:
“Small rip in the cartilage of my pelvis but I’ll be right back,” he wrote on June 23. “The pain isn’t from the actual tear so soon as the spasms stop i should be Gu Wop.”
The very next day, the “Roll Up” spitter posted a clip of him walking without any aid: “4 legs was cool but i like two better.”
Based on the rate at which he is recovering, Wiz will most likely be fine by the time he’s supposed to embark on the High School Reunion Tour with Snoop Dogg. The 33-date trek is scheduled to commence on July 7 for approximately a month and a half. The traveling concert is also set to feature Too $hort, Warren G, Berner and DJ Drama.
Tickets for the tour are available here.
