Deadpan queen Courtney Barnett played a series of intimate shows across the United States starting in October. The 10-date mini tour was in support of her most recent body of work, End of the Day, which was released earlier this year.
This instrument album was originally composed to soundtrack the 2021 documentary about her, Anonymous Club. In September, however, the singer-songwriter compiled the audio cuts from the movie and packaged it as her latest album.
Just a month after its release, she set out on tour with Anjimile and Arushi Jain, playing a handful of small venues to preserve the record’s serenity. All performances were split in two parts — the first act involved her playing tracks for the new project whereas the second was made up minimalist renditions of fan-favorites.
With her American run almost over, she will return home to Australia for a select number of shows next year. Tickets for the five concerts distributed between Sydney, Perth and Melbourne can be purchased here.

Five of her US shows took place in California, of which two were at the Masonic Lodge in Los Angeles. On Friday (November 3), just as she turned 36 years old, Barnett played to a few hundred people in the City of Angles. Check out the photos below:
