There are trade shows that eliminate recreational users from the attendee’s list. While this may seem like a bad business plan, it creates an opportunity for serious cannabis entrepreneurs to network with people of the same mindset. WeedCon West 2019 is an invitation-only networking event for distributors, brands, farms, and dispensary buyers at a luxurious estate in Los Angeles, California.
This event will have numerous unique experiences that all cannabis tradeshows would benefit from. There will be a networking dab bar, a farmers market, infusions, health and wellness opportunities, and a VIP lounge.
The WeedCon Cup will also have a product competition. Farms will have the opportunity to enter their products into the “best of the best” contest where a judge’s panel of nine blindly tests various cannabis-based products. Celebrity judges include David Crosby, founder of the classic rock band Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young, Michelin chef Michael Magallanes of Opulent Chef, Erin Lumley of Strain Kind of Love, Sohum Shah former critic for The Cannabist. Entries will be separated into appropriate categories.
While the main focus of WeedCon West is for members of the cannabis industry to network for a good cause. Safety Harbor will benefit from ticket sales, an organization provides enrichment opportunities to children who are homeless, were orphaned, or in foster care.
