Throughout the West Coast Weed Tour, we’ve tested cannabis products who’s hype centers around their branding and packaging design. Designer weed like the Dolce and Banana strain and The Napalm Grenade are two examples that come to mind. These products do in fact live up to the hype, but in the spirit of staying true to the roots of cannabis, we had to try some products that let the quality of the cannabis sell itself. The Triangle Kush Strain by Resin Ranchers is one of these “it sells itself” type of products.
Today, Respect My Region’s Erin Lapsansky and Riley from Trippy Hippy Cannabis find out if this classic Indica product really does have a quality that speaks for itself.
Triangle Kush First Impressions
The first most notable aspect of the Triangle Kush is its lack of branded packaging. The reason for the lack of design lies in the production processes of Oregon. Oregon doesn’t pre-package their bud. Unlike California or Washington, most of their flower comes sold with generic labels on mylar bags or plastic containers.
As far as THC, this strain tested at 27.275%. The aroma from the Triangle Kush has that classic OG Kush smell that “never gets old,” said Riley. This can be contributed to the fact that the strain is in fact an OG Kush phenotype. In other words, the two strains share the same parents. The smell is Kush forward, meaning a slightly gassy, tar-like smell with hints of earth and florals.
The Smoke Sesh
The first hit of the Triangle Kush continues to remind Erin and Riley of the classic OG Kush. The smoke is clean without a harsh burn. The full-body high leaves Erin feeling super relaxed. The strain is known for its relaxing effects and has also been said to stimulate creativity.
For people wanting to join in the meditative process of trying a creative outlet, grab a pen and paper, a paintbrush and canvas, or anything else you can think of and light up with the Triangle Kush strain.
