Travis Scott is building a franchise of hit songs. From causing shortages with his McDonald’s meal to now topping the Billboard charts with “Franchise” featuring Young Thug and M.I.A. Cactus Jack has become the first artist in history to debut three consecutive songs at No. 1 on the Hot 100 within a year.
He previously topped the chart with “Sicko Mode” (Dec. 2018), “Highest in the Room” (Oct. 2019), and “The Scotts,” the collaboration with Kid Cudi, which also debuted at No. 1 in May 2020.
With the success of “Franchise”, Travis Scott now ties with Drake for the most chart-topping debuts for a male act in Hot 100 history and is the fifth overall act to achieve the feat following Mariah Carey, Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, and Drake.
In tweets celebrating the success of “Franchise,” Travis Scott revealed on Monday morning, the apparent title for his upcoming studio album, Utopia.
