Tri-Cities artist Topp has one of the most unique and versatile voices in the hip-hop scene that fans have heard to date. This last week he used that voice to take his shot at the corrupt system in which even those with privilege are now opening their eyes to. The line between conservatives and liberals has become blurred as both sides deadlock on an argument over basic human rights.
Aware of the oppression Black people have gone through under the umbrella of American Culture “That Season” is a call to action from Topp. No longer will Black history be swept under the rug of public schools. The full truth must be told, and not just the easy truth.
We are at a turning point in our country. Too long have we tried to hide or ignore the truth when we should have been acknowledging, learning, and adapting. We aren’t a perfect country, which is OK, but we can’t keep staying silent. The season has come to make a change, take a stance, fight, take your shot at the system. Now is not the time to stay silent.
