Top10 – Been a minute since we have put out new music from around the Northwest. I’m telling y’all, working a 9-5, working at a start up, pursuing music, and trying to run a blog be taking a toll on a G. After combing through the countless entries in the inbox I grabbed 10 of the hottest joints out that you need to hear.
This series’ name has changed a ton of times but I’m sticking with Top10. This could mean the Top10 hottest records from the Northwest or the Top10 joints sitting in my inbox. Either way, it’ll be 10 tracks worth your time. (Trust me, I’ve listened to all the shitty ones…lets pay for better studio time aspiring artists? We can even hook you up).
As always, if your sour your music or your homie’s music isn’t on here, make sure we get your press releases! If you sent it and it’s still not on here…I am sorry we get a lot of submissions and/or I may not like the record. Just remember push the scene and you will rise with it, don’t knock one another. Let’s all build something great. Alas, here are the top ten joints from the inbox right now and I recommend you check them all out.
1. Lil Ripp – Encore ft. Shawn Parker
Ripp comes through with that new turn up. This one goes!
2. LROC – My Side
LROC has quietly been making power moves. This dude has some serious potential and is one of my go to Northwest artists to throw on in the whip. If you’re not familiar now, you will be in 2016!
3. Donte Thomas – ft. Manny Monday
Donte Thomas is an up and comer from Oregon that is going to be a problem this year!
4. Birthday Boys (Illmaculate & Marv Won) – “Birthday Boys”
Anything with Illmaculate deserves your attention. Calvin Valentine always comes correct on the beats.
5. Yodi Mac – Fxxk a Dream
This beat is a little different. For a second I was confused but then I started nodding. Yodi has a super unique voice and squeezes in a ton of bars over his 16’s.
6. Stewart Villain – Uppers and Downers
Stewart hops off the beat machine and grabs the mic for this one. He is gearing up to release a self-produced album here soon. He’s kinda nice with the flow too!
7. Kae One – How Im Feeling
Northwest street music has always had a heavy West coast influence. Kae One lays down some smooth player shit…don’t sleep on this.
8. Sunny D. Light – Stay Down
This shit is smooth.
9. AlonzoSevan – Sippin & Smokin
Name may have changed but still kicking the same game. Peta Tosh Alonzosevan always comes correct.
10. I$$A – Sleep On You ft. Tory Lanez
I$$A has been making moves. This shouldn’t be one to miss, Tory Lanez for the feature is big! This is something funky and upbeat.
