During one of the most confusing, uncharted times our world has seen in a long time, Lebanon needs all our support. Following the explosions that filled thousands of innocent people with fear, the EDM dance community has stepped up in solidarity with Beirut. Beatport has put together two online events named ‘Together For Beirut” aimed at fundraising $250,000 to give to disaster relief. Each event will showcase 24 international DJ’s playing non-stop for 24 hours in support of the grief the people of Beirut are enduring.
The first event goes live August 22nd and the initiative will extend until September 13th. DJs in the first round of online streaming include influential global techno artists such as ANNA, Carl Cox, Damian Lazarus, Dubfire, Kax James, Louie Vega, Yousef, Nicole Moudaber, and more.

Nicole will be streaming on both days with passion for the cause in hopes she can provide some relief for the Lebanese people in need. The producer shared her thoughts on the event:
“These fundraising events will provide much-needed relief and support to the people of Beirut and the many affected by the recent tragedy. Officials estimate the explosion caused up to $15 billion of damage. International financial aid and support have been overwhelming, but it’s not enough. We must support in any way we can to help, and in addition, our efforts will also be helping the music and arts industry of Lebanon which has been wiped out.”
To be a part of Beatport ReConnect’s “Together For Beirut” and the historic fundraising event that will help thousands of individuals and families in need tune into Beatport’s Twitch Channel on August 22nd at 6:00 pm. The second stream will take place on September 13th at 4:00 pm.
Donations of even $1 will go to three specific organizations. These include Impact Lebanon, the Lebanese Red Cross, Arcenciel, as well as other music and arts organizations in Beirut.
These time are increasingly difficult for everyone. Until the world can find its way to peace the only support we have is each other. The EDM community has always stood hand in hand as a family, and this event is no different.
