Minntz entered the cannabis industry as the result of a partnership between Cookies and Seed Junky Genetics. Cookies, owned by Berner, delivers a nationally known brand to a range of states with legal cannabis. Seed Junkies Genetics some of the most recognizable genetics in the industry. The Soap is one of the bi-products of this partnership.
The Soap crosses Animal Mints and Kush Mints. This strain smells like a potent cross of the two, pulling the best qualities from each of the parent strains.
I really enjoy the color and feel of the packaging for this strain. The soap bubbles across the front and in the font are a nice touch. However, the opening of the packaging is frustrating. A seal creates the illusion that you can open the bag easily until you try and pull that seal away from the bag. There is a strip down the middle of the bag that has to be moved to the side in order to access the real zipper. This could have been all solved by packaging the weed in glass, which at this price, is a WAY better idea.
The Soap does not smell like dish soap, instead it smells like a combination of flowers and mint. I’ve not smelled cannabis like this before and part of me really enjoyed the smell while I was also turned off by it as well.
The Soap redeems itself with a dense bud structure and layered on frosting of trichomes. When I squeezed the nugs between my fingers there was no give, it was as if I was squeezing rocks.
There is a distinct floral flavor to the cannabis that I don’t find that enjoyable. It left a weird after taste in my mouth that I can’t quite explain. The high was enjoyable and not what I had anticipated from a strain that tests this high. While this probably won’t be my last visit to any of Minntz brands, I can’t say that this left me impressed.
