Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’s debut LP, “The Heist” has been a very long awaited project, anticipated by all of this duo’s fan base. At 9 a.m. this morning, these Seattle natives made it possible for fans to officially pre-order a physical copy of the deluxe edition of this exciting album on their website. In a day and age where most music is accessed electronically, it is refreshing to see a group put such an emphasis on the significance of owning and experiencing a real, physical album, on a CD, in a case, that you can hold and touch. The video that they released this morning gave fans a look at the “gator box” this album will come in, and the 18 original art pieces that will accompany the project. Anyone who has been following Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’s journey knows that this debut LP is not only music, but a statement to all of their hard work and to their passion. The album itself is being released on October 9th, 2012.
