Andy’s Jazz Club
Andy’s Jazz Club is located just a few steps away from State Street. It’s a great place to enjoy amazing jazz music in a lively atmosphere. The club started in the 1950s as a spot for Chicago Tribune employees to hang out. In the 1970s, it changed owners, and that’s when the real excitement began. They had their first live jazz show in 1977, and now they have jazz performances at noon, five, and nine. If you want to dine and listen to top Chicago jazz musicians, make sure to reserve a table any night of the week.
Kingston Mines
Since it first opened in 1968, Kingston Mines has proudly been Chicago’s largest and longest-running blues club. You can easily spot it by its distinct long orange building on Halsted Street. In 2016, it was honored with the prestigious Chicago Reader’s Best Blues Club award. Kingston Mines keeps its doors open until the early hours of the morning, closing at 4 AM on Thursdays and Fridays, and at 5 AM on Saturdays. It’s the perfect place for weekend fun and excitement.

Jazz nights are the most prized night of them all, with the back room filled with the eclectic sounds of Bonzo Squad, aliveOne’s current Thursday resident. Come have a drink, play pool, and listen to sweet jazz every Thursday night at aliveOne.
Buddy Guy’s Legends
