The Bellwether, aside from standard one-off performances, will also feature a “3 Day Takeover” by Porter Robinson comprising a DJ set by No Originals on July 27, air2earth on July 28 and a DJ set by Robinson himself on July 29. Furthermore, HAIM and Carly Rae Jepsen will be playing back-to-back nights at the location as well.
“Los Angeles has a live music scene that is pretty unmatchable,” Jepsen said. “I’m so excited to see the Bellwether come to life and to bring our show to this magical venue.”
Independent record label Fool’s Gold is also scheduled to have its 15th-anniversary party at the Bellwether. Alain “A-Trak” Macklovitch, who founded the New York-based operation, will be present at the event.
As of now, the full details of the celebration have yet to be revealed, so stay tuned.
The performance area accommodates 1,600 people and offers the crowd an intimate experience with the performers. Given the lineup, tickets for the upcoming shows are projected to sell fast, so be sure to cop your passes here.
“It’s been so exciting working on building this inaugural lineup, I could speak for hours on my appreciation of each artist but I think the lineup speaks for itself,” head talent buyer Nick Barrie said. “It’s going to be even more special when they finally take the stage in this incredible room.”
