I can’t write this article right now. My brain is too stupid and my body is too weak from the shenanigans at Lucky 2015. Instead, I am just going to do a series of shout outs to the people who made this weekend a memorable one. Here we go:
Shout out to Brillz who I apparently I walked past several times before gates opened but was too distracted to notice upon being notified that I would miss his entire set because my volunteer shift started at the same time. Ironic, no?
Shout out to the awesome WaMu Staff Pro people at the bass stage. I don’t remember any of your names but I will always remember you as the dopest crowd management staff WaMu has ever had. I even got one of you to go ham during Sound Remedy’s set.

Opening up before Kill Paris is local trap/big room house DJ Sharps who lately has been blowing up the Seattle club scene.

What do you do when your a Northwest hip-hop artist and you want a slightly more commercial sound but want to remain hip-hop? You call up Jake One and Stewart Villain…and that is exactly what Dave B did for Loosies. The series of releases comes in at just 3 tracks (for now) but is dope enough to satisfy listeners who have been waiting on that Doughnuts LP.
I honestly had no intention of going to Life in Color, aka the “World’s Largest Paint Party.” I mean, in theory it sounds fun, but

Producer and instrumentalist, Kevin Lavitt, releases his first release from his upcoming self-produced debut project ‘Planets’ entitled “Night Is Over” featuring long time friend and collaborator Sam Lachow. This is a nice smooth jam that fans of Lachow and music will dig, check it out!
Seattle’s Nacho Picasso releases a new record ‘Sex Drugs & Rock-n-Roll’ and the visual is exactly what you would expect from a Nacho song with this title. The track is produced by BSBD and Eric G.
Raz Simone finished his Cognitive Dissonance release with the final product! The time has come to grab the whole project for free at Raz Simone’s website. Raz did an interesting marketing strategy by releasing one track from the project a week to build some hype for the follow up to his 2014 Cognitive Dissonance Part I.
Seattle’s Thaddeus David links up with his Portland connect TOPE for the visual to ‘Blackjack.’ This is a joint off Thaddeus’s Untitled EP he dropped with Stewart Villain last year.
