Taane Jr Is Spreading The Love With New Single “Everyday” Ft. J. Moe Da Bird

While I was speaking to Taane Jr about the “Everyday” single he was able to articulate his goals in a simple phrase. Taane Jr says he is “using love as a platform to make timeless music.”

With his first track off the Spread the Love LP, Taane is looking to showcase his growth as an artist. Granted, it has taken patience for us to receive the follow up to his successful run in Seattle with Macntaj as Slightly Flagrant. That doesn’t matter now, it has proven to be like all good things in life, worth the wait. Since then, Taane has spent three years carefully crafting his debut album.

“Everyday” is already getting some recognition locally. Taane was able to secure an opportunity to be on the Head-2-Head segment of The Come Up with Miss Casey Carter on KUBE 93.3. Since breaking out to an early lead in voting“Everyday” secured the victory against “Kevin Durant” by Rell G. With a nearly three votes to one margin, it was a decisive win.

New Hip-Hop Single Infused With Island Reggae

Still a few months from the album drop, the “Everyday” single is the perfect opportunity to display the progression of his songwriting and production skill sets. For example, Taane’s choice to not have a vocal performance on this song was an intentional act. This was done to show that he is not just another rapper. He is a well-rounded musician poised to make his mark on the industry. The featured artist, J. Moe Da Bird, delivers a feel-good vocal performance on the hook and harmonies written by Taane Jr. Bird also blessed the verses with his own unique stylings.

Taane Jr’s production stays true to his Polynesian roots. So you will hear a dose of island reggae infused with old school hip-hop/R&B backbeats wrapped in dirty trap aesthetics. It’s all of the best elements of today’s ultra-expressive urban music. “Everyday” is a prime example of his talents, setting the stage for an onslaught of content in 2019. Including the 20 plus track debut LP Spread The Love.

“If you’re looking for something refreshing from the underground, check out one of Seattle’s hip- hop artists leading the pack; Taane Staladi Jr”
