On Saturday, August 22nd the 2020 West Coast Weed Tour officially kicked off. To celebrate, I drove across downtown Los Angeles over to the Fairfax district to visit the famous Sherbinskis dispensary. I was honestly pretty excited to see what the inside was like in real life, plus I was more than ready to try out their highly touted Sunset Sherbert strain.
After waiting for 10 minutes outside, then spending 5 minutes or so checking out each of their beautifully-lit sections, I linked with a budtender who started to talk me through their pre-rolled joint offerings.
I was immediately drawn to the five different Sherbinskis-branded joints on display in the center of their case.
After checking out some of the CBD x THC gummies from Plus Products and peeping some terps from Buddies Brand’s liquid diamond vape cartridges, I decided to scoop up three of the five Sherbinskis pre-rolls including the Sunset Sherbert strain used for this review.
Supposedly this cut of the Sunset Sherb is one of the most famous and respected cultivars in the entire world of cannabis. This particular pre-roll was available for $15 per gram and appropriately hyped up by the budtender.
Described as a really good, smooth, creamy, and gassy smoke, the only thing that really lessened the overall experience was an unfortunate seed burning at the very beginning of the jay. The first hit started off okay but things quickly turned south going into the second and third puffs. You’ll notice in my video below that the joint started off with darker ash, most likely because of the seed. This type of quality control mistake is one of those that seem minor in the grand scheme of millions of joints being sold, but it still makes me not want to buy a pre-roll again.
With this being the very first of my West Coast Weed Tour 2020 reviews, I highly recommend that all of you watch my official sunset sherbert strain review video below so that each of you can get a more in-depth perspective of my entire experience.
In these review videos, I will talk about the appearance, flavor, price, smell, burn, after-taste, and give the product an official score out of 100 points. For this video, I gave a score out of 10 since it was part of my Joint Effort pre-roll review series, and then used that number to scale it out for the West Coast Weed Tour competition rating system.
If you don’t want to watch and hear my thoughts on the products, scroll down and skip ahead to read the scorecard at the bottom of this post. Each of the products we review on the WCWT is also featured on our website as well as the Respect My Region Instagram and Youtube.
Stay tuned for a part 2 video featuring me smoking the rest of the joint after about two hours. The experience did improve after the seed burned through, but not enough to bring it back to a full 10 out of 10 or 100/100. Below is my official scorecard for this product as part of the 2020 West Coast Weed Tour.
