Spoken Bird’s music uses a psychedelic mash-up of progressive and melodic hooks laced with creative synths layered over rhythmic drum patterns and interesting soundscapes. The immensely sick, liquidy beat and deep, sensual, sultry vocals draw you in. I melted inside with delight listening to his fresh take on EDM.
Spoken Bird is a truly refreshing sound to come out of the hard, dark and gritty sound behind dubstep, trap and drum & bass, and put a new spin on it. The innovative chill vibes over somber piano sprinkled with light melodic runs and gushing emotional hooks were flirty and brilliant.
As I finished writing, Spoken Bird’s music played from Soundcloud. I noticed how each track went twisting and turning through its mysterious journey, telling a specific story and setting a vibe. I found myself enthralled with his effortless hooks and drum beats blended as if modeled after the famous DJ’s of Global Underground like DJ Acosta, Danny
The epic set of influencers that changed production for house and techno. No big breaks, no synth stabs or aggressive dark drops. (Like some of the Drum and Bass sounding sounds and build-ups.) The beats flowed like running water; continuously using the ebb and flow of catchy gritty snares, claps, and rhythmic drops.
The intense drum patterns danced intimately drawing my emotions. The simplicity of each hook was stress relieving, mind intriguing an expanded my thought process. Every beat played was gritty and grimy showcasing his intelligent combination of dub, trap and funky soul. Spoken Bird’s execution was super funky and dead on the pulse of modern EDM. I loved the dramatic bass-heavy laced flows with sultry vocals over some awesome, raunchy, dirty beats.
