Last December, Spencer Brown released two singles teasing his upcoming album Stream of Consciousness. January 31st of this year, the whole album dropped, providing a more refined look into Brown’s style following his debut album Illusions of Perfection.
Brown prides himself on revolting against the over-saturation of radio-edited material that neglects to represent the full experience of music. His music is a mix between techno, trance, and deep house all wrapped up with a touch of progressive. The unique diversity and unpredictability of his music make his live sets incredible and his albums humbling.
Stream of Consciousness is a stunning example of Brown’s impeccable patience and respect for the perfect mix. He is said to have done 329 revisions before the album’s release.
Though his music is a life-long passion, Brown completed his degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Duke University in 2016. May it be added he did most of his studying while on tour with Avicii.
Spencer Brown channels his work ethic and perfectionism into his music and it shows. This concentration gives his albums a sense of euphoria for fans all over the world.
