Skörd Marijuana presents their cannabis in one of the classiest jars on the market, full of strain information in an easy to read colorful format. Skörd’s Sour Tangie strain is a cross between East Coast Sour Diesel and Tangie and rests in the sativa side of the spectrum.
I purchased a gram of Sour Tangie flower and concentrate at the same time so I could experience this strain in its full glory, to see if the terpene profile carried over from the flower to the oil.
The flowers are large amber colored flowers with long brown hairs. A milky thick trichome coat wraps around each bud like a puffy winter coat that’s too big for you. Once the jar is open, orange and diesel aromas force their way through your nasal cavity, those Tangie terps distinctly tickling your nose hairs with a stinging citrus pinch. Skörd’s Sour Tangie PHO concentrate had the same orange terps but multiplied by a factor of three or four, as the aroma absolutely overwhelmed my senses.
The flavors followed the aroma, with strong orange and citrus notes bouncing off your tongue, where the flower and the concentrate differ is with the diesel notes, which were noticeable on the flower but absent in the concentrate.
Sour Tangie flower provided a pleasant motivating sativa high that didn’t verge on paranoia or a racy head high. The head high sat behind my eyes and turned my mental focus up a couple levels, helping me power through a weekend’s worth of writing.
While the Sour Tangie concentrates elevated the mental high into a more intense, spacy feeling. The concentrate is better saved for when your to-do list is finished, and you can meander through the rest of your day carefree.
