The Seattle World Tour “Music With A Message” Series interviews Sol in their weekly episode showcasing local artists. During this episode, he talked about how he spent his time in lockdown and touches on some topics that are important to him including music and playing with his new kittens.
During Sol’s interview, he talks about how his upbringing has made him into the charitable person he is today. He says it all stems from the way he was raised— by practicing gratitude and giving back to the community. He describes himself as being a young musician who wanted to do his part. However, because of a lack of money, the only thing he could do was perform at benefit concerts. This way he would give back by raising awareness for causes he finds important.
Sol also mentioned how he enjoys working with the younger generation of artists. He said they inspire him and shared that he is close with his peers. It excites him to work with people who are also excited about music and he loves being given the opportunity to evolve with
The Time For Empathy
He discusses that because the homelessness and eviction rates are on a rise, this is the time for empathy. He stresses the need for some sort of change in government as well as many more aspects of our society. But, he says he can’t propose a solution to this problem, as he is not an expert in these topics. However, he believes that as a society, we are headed in the right direction. He believes that based on how we are beginning to view the world, that most people want to be good.
Getting Involved
Giving back to the community is something that is really important to Sol and in his interview with the Seattle World Tour, he highlights the benefits of giving back and getting involved.
