The Emerald City has been known as one of the strongest music communities for quite some time. A city that is known for a vibrant music community and major corporations like Amazon and Microsoft, Seattle is also home to a rising talent named Sir Nicolas.
Nic Saavedra, aka Sir Nicolas, is the Co-Owner of the LightWav Music Record Label. He has been exploring all kinds of new styles, sounds, and production arrangements that have been inspired by a variety of genres such as Hip-Hop, Jazz, Pop, R&B, and even some electronic-infusions. The diversity of styles in his music gives songs like “Obsessed” an upbeat vibe and a beat that lowkey already seems familiar.

Working alongside notable talents like Justin Hale, Rara, and Wishbaby, Sir Nicolas has already made a splash in the Pacific Northwest. This collaboration with Amory is also a level up in its own way. The energy and vibes for this track are lovely, plus there is still room for growth. For this track, I enjoyed the concept of the song and the beat, but the vocal sound wasn’t my absolute favorite.
Saavedra plans to continue down his own path, blazing a trail where instruments from the past and future can come together and power his music to stand out. Expanding upon his production and engineering should help Sir Nicolas continue to gain traction and cultivate new fans who enjoy Jazzy Pop or upbeat R&B. Diversifying his style to incorporate more artists from around the country and world is sure to put his music and brand in front of more people too.
