SHY Martin is a small town Swedish girl who’s made a big-time impact along the way of establishing herself as a songwriter. She began writing songs and poetry in her youth. She quickly found a deep rooting in eclectic pop sounds.
Fast forward a few years and she is now a winner of the Spotify Sweden’s “Most Streamed Song of the Year” with her co-writing credits and featured vocal on Mike Perry’s “The Ocean.” SHY recorded the vocals in her wardrobe, after tonsil surgery mind you, and wrote the track with long-time partner, SHY Nodi. The track currently has over 550 million streams on Spotify.
That is only the tip of the iceberg when mentioning SHY’s songwriting career. She has gone on to generate 2.5 billion Spotify streams including credits on “First Time” by Kygo ft. Ellie Goulding, “(Not) The One” by Bebe Rexha, “All We Know” by The Chainsmokers, and “I Wanna Know” by NOTD ft. Bea Miller.
SHY Martin is also branching out into her own solo career. Since her debut in December of 2018 with her EP Overthinking, SHY has garnered over 100 million Spotify streams from her own music. Her newest single “Same Old” is an up-tempo, electro-pop track that puts the sultry singer’s vocals on full display over a fun and poppy production that will get you vibing in no time.

More Than Just A Music Artist
In addition to her musical gifts, SHY Martin is an active philanthropist. She has notably joined Spotify CEO/ Founder Daniel Ek and songwriter/producer Max Martin’s coveted Equalizer Project which is a group aimed at combating gender inequality in the music industry. In 2018 she also participated in Bebe Rexha’s Women In Harmony Dinner and in 2017 performed alongside Matoma at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert.
