Breanna Stewart (aka Stewy) averaged 28.3 points, 7.3 rebounds on 62.8 percent shooting while leading the Seattle Storm to its 4th WNBA championship over the Las Vegas Aces. Only two other WNBA teams have just as many championships, and they are The Minnesota Lynx and The Houston Comets. Seattle is coming off their 2nd championship in the span of three years with Breanna Stewart cementing her legacy with her 2nd finals MVP.
At 26 years old, Stewards versatility is unparalleled with a 7-foot wingspan while standing at 6’4.
Stewy of course had tremendous help on her road to her second championship. Sue Bird had a series that will be etched in WNBA history forever while dishing a record-breaking 16 assists in game one of the WNBA Finals. Alysha Clark hit 52.2 percent of her threes this year to lead the WNBA in three-point shot percentage and finished as a runner up for Defensive Player of the year. In year 17 of her WNBA career, Bird finished with a 63.7 true shooting percentage, her best ever throughout her career.
“The best version of this team is in the playoffs and now in the Finals,” Storm head coach Dan Hughes said.
