The Sasquatch 2012 information was released yesterday, and boy are we excited! Sasquatch will be held from May 25th through 28th and of course be at The Gorge. But this year the reason we are stoked for the event is because of the amount of Northwest hip-hop artists that will be performing! They will include the likes of The Physics, Sol, Grynch, Spac3man, Dyme Def, Fresh Espresso, and Scribes just to name a few. If you notice, most of the artists in that lineup we have worked with at events in the past year, and it’s great to see them on a main stage! So I hope you all grab a ticket to this years event, and go check out the local hip-hop scene that will be paving the way for more artists that are coming out of this area.
Many people have said that it was Macklemore’s performance last year that made people take notice that Sasquatch needed a Northwest only stage, and rumor has it that it may be coming true this year. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a stage dedicated to the Northwest music seen as the music has begun to reach more people’s ears throughout the country. Sol, may have had an impact on this with his Kickstarter project that led to his album release and reaching the number one spot on iTunes for hip-hop music.
