On June 5th, Sadistik and his “Haunted Garden” Tour will hit Barboza Lounge in the historic Capitol Hill neighborhood in Seattle. Featuring Nacho Picasso, Black Magic Noize, Kno of Cunninlynguists, Trizz, Rafael Vigilantics, and Diveyede. This lineup is specially curated for people who truly call themselves hip-hop heads.
Because of artists like Nacho Picasso and Diveyede, smaller intimate venues like Barboza are regularly booked for hip-hop events designed to showcase a combination of local and national talent. Although most concert lineups these days tend to feature newer wave artists, people who are below the age of 23, there is a never-ending supply of quality hip-hop that flows through Seattle and other surrounding areas.

For decades, hip-hop has been known to come in many different shapes, sizes, and styles. My generation has been witnesses to artists like Tupac, B.I.G., Dr. Dre, Jay Z, Eminem, The Game, 50 Cent, Kendrick Lamar, J.Cole, Nipsey Hussle, and countless others who have helped pave the way for hip-hop culture across the world. Although many people believe Seattle doesn’t have a strong rap presence in the music industry, respect for our music community grows each and every day.
