Upon meeting up with my Aunt in Queen Anne, we stumbled across this restaurant in disguise called Nana’s Kitchen. What was once filled with families and precious memories, now pulls in Mexican food lovers and locals for a second-generation Mexican-American experience, appropriately decorated with flowers and trees that literally jumped off the wall at you.
Nana’s Kitchen, the best Mexican food on Queen Anne?
With tables throughout the rooms, Nana’s takes the home-y feeling to a new level. My table ordered the chicken taquitos, the quesadilla appetizer, and an entree. Each food item that came to the table looked like it belonged in a Mexico and each bite confirmed the notion. The food was filling and perfectly portioned but the best part was the desert. We ordered deep fried ice cream. The crust had the perfect crunch to counter the rich creamy vanilla ice cream.
You can visit Nana’s Kitchen for lunch and dinner, Tuesday through Sunday, and also for breakfast on the weekends. Happy hour is from 2-5pm! Let us know what you think by tweeting @RespectMyRegion using the hashtag, ‘#RMRFoodJunkie’.
